Gangs of the Dead/Last Rites (2006)

Summary: A meteor shower turns a bunch of homeless people into zombies. Meanwhile, two different gangs are doing some business in an abandoned storage building, not realizing that the cops are surrounding the area. Once all hell breaks loose, no one is safe.           Overall: Nothing special here really. “Urban” version of “Night of the Living Dead” and basically same as “Mutant Killer Vampires from the Hood.” More than a few internet reviewers found the film good…frankly I think because they expected it to be so bad. That’s not a reason to watch it. There isn’t any. It’s just not an awful film, that’s all.           Comparison: Mutant Vampire Zombies from the Hood meets Day of the Dead
