From Dusk Till Dawn II:
Texas Blood Money (1999)

Buck, a thief looking for a nice “score” and finds one when his buddy, Luther, evades police and promises something nice in Texas. Buck rounds up his buddies and they go meet him in Mexico to get the job all planned out. Luther gets his truck all screwed up by a flying bat and after entering the "infamous bar," he finds himself under the vampire spell. The question is, who else will he take with him? Soon though, the sheriff meets up with them in Mexico but the vampires take control of the situation and are ready to take over all of Mexico.

Overall: I asked the question about 45 minutes before the film addressed it: “What do vampires need with cash?” The film gave a poor explanation and so I still wonder what they needed. Seems all the vampire biting did was create practically invincible thieves – their need for cash, their desires and paranoia, etc. all follow into the vampire life – which is unlike the first film where all they craved was blood. Seems as years go by, vampires need more and more possessions to stay alive. I’m waiting for the next vampire film: "Vampires: A Life as a Barbie Doll.” Interesting camera work throughout, must be a Tarantino film with views that this film presents. Ever wonder what a safe looked like from the inside out?

****** (Above written 04/99) I just watched this film again, 2 years later and these angles got me almost dizzy by the end. They are definitely annoying. And it's not like the action is from a different point of view once or twice, it's basically every scene and this gets old. And how long is that damn eclipse? I counted about 30 minutes and the good ole encyclopedia tells me the longest ever recorded was "the eclipse of June 20, 1955, lasted 7 min, 8 sec, which was the longest duration of totality in 1,238 years." So put that in your pipe and smoke it!
