From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)

          Interesting little flick about vampires in Mexico. George Clooney stars in his best role ever as a man on the run from the cops, traveling with his brother. When the 2 hold up in a Texas motel, they kidnap a priest and his two kids. The 5 of them end up in a bar in Mexico with Keitel trying to keep his family alive. Clooney promises their safety once the fugitives can get their ID’s and permanently flee the law. At this point they end up having a row with the bar patrons, who happen to be blood-sucking vampires. But our 5 heroes aren’t dead yet, for they have a few customers on their side.

          Overall: I really enjoyed this film as it takes gore, violence, and action to a new level. It is the usual vampire stuff but in a different setting and taking bad guys and good guys and pairing them together to face a common enemy is nice to see. Also, don’t miss Salma Hayek, Fred Williamson and Tom Savini. And of course Martial Arts legend John Saxon graces us with his presence too. Try this one.
