Fright Night 2 (1989)

Charlie is back and this time he even doubts vampires exist...until his roommate ends up dead due to a mysterious woman who has appeared. But this woman is out for more than just blood for feeding. She wants revenge as Jerry was her brother. She aims to seduce Charlie to encourage a breakup with his girlfriend Alex and then takes over Peter’s TV show. Charlie also gets bit and now must fight Regine, the new vampires, from within the Vampire clique!
Overall: Definitely not as good as the 1st film and in so many ways too. Bad guys aren’t as bad and scary. Make-up is weaker...costume are too. The characters have little story to work with and Peter comes out again looking like Saddam Hussein: a coward. And the film featured so much bowling, I swear I was watching the NBC show “Ed.” Comparison: Scream 2 meets In the Mouth of Madness |
