Freak Out (2006)

Summary: Merv Doody and his friend Onkey have uncovered their trip to stardom. A mental patient has escaped the local asylum and landed on their doorstep. Considering Merv loves horror movies, he decided to turn “Looney” into a serial killer…problem is, this patient is as far from being violent and they’re really gonna have to try harder!           Overall: I think the film had some good ideas but frankly, it’s just long and slow and plodding. Good ideas, some good jokes, but just takes forever to get to the point. The gem of the film is the voice for “Looney.” There’s nothing more funny than watching the 2 try and turn him into a killer and he’s as anti-violence as anything. I think future films by these guys will work better in the future.           Comparison: Scary Movie meets Encino Man
