Flu Birds (2008)

Summary: 7 young ten delinquents are trying to avoid jail time and agree to go out to the woods for some educational activities. While out there they realize that there are mutant killer birds loose and they’re about to be the meat. They have to bond together and try and escape for their lives. Question is, will the birds let them?           Overall: The film really jumps into the story right off the bad and we have killer vultures before we even know what’s going on. I will say compared to many of the Sci-Fi channel films coming out, most tend to forget plot and give us all bad CGI. This film really makes an effort at character development and trying to get the audience to buy into the underlying story. We don’t get enough about the birds or flu or how this ends up infecting our victims, but we get a ton about how they’re trying to survive and need to rely on each other. So in many ways, it’s a breath of fresh air. And frankly, not enough killer bird films out there!!           Comparison: Diary of the Dead meets Birds
