Summary: Emma is going through changes just like any other teenager would. Problem is, hers might be due to possession by the Devil. Only the Church can help her out, problem is…do they want to?
Overall: It’s a fairly decent film. Sorta freaky, sorta spooky, very atmospheric. The film flashes back often which can tend to get you a little confused as to where we are with what timeframes. But overall it’s a fairly decent film. It’s hard not to watch exorcism films and not compare to the best of all=time, “The Exorcist.” I think in many ways we can’t help but do so. Clearly nothing can be as good as the original. The key for ewer films is to distance themselves and show their uniqueness. This film does so with the girl’s attempt at suicide, her teenage changes, her relationships with everyone, etc. Decent little film. Comparison: The Exorcist meets Clueless |
