Summary: In late 1960s, Scarlet is an aspiring rock singer who is attacked by Count Dracula one night outside a recording studio.. Dracula bites her and carries away her body but then he takes off for Transylvania leaving Scarlet's in her new vampiric form with his servant, Renfield. When she awakens, she’s totally bummed out and spends the next 30 years pining over the music career she never had. Now to the present day, with Scarlet still depressed and wants to commit suicide. But Renfield thinks he can figure out a way to release her and save her life. In a book store he finds a copy of the "Ruthvenian", the Holy Bible of the Vampires. Within lies the promise of a return to human mortality if they can find three virgins willing to be seduced over to the dark side, all within the span of a single day. And so they go to accomplish this…but don’t think these ladies will “die” so easily.

Overall: Unfortunately I saw all the sequels first so I can say this might be the weakest of Donald Glut’s series involving “Countess Dracula” and “The Mummy.” But it does lay forth the groundwork for the sequels. It’s a fun film with all the expected T&A in all the right places. But do question, I think Donald learned from these early films as you can see “Blood Scarab” being a much better film. He earned from the mistakes and slow parts that you can see herein.
