Summary: Epitaph contains three dark love stories that take place in a hospital in South Korea during World War 2. A young man is forced to work the night shift at the morgue and falls in love with the dead body of a girl who has just arrived at the hospital. Meanwhile, a little girl is rushed into the emergency room after having miraculously survived a car accident in which both of her parents died. There’s dark sorrow here and no one yet knows why.
Overall: I found this film to just literally be all over the place. It’s a visually nice film. It really has some great scenes but it’s confusing as to what is happening and why. I got lost and although the ending starts to put things back into perspective, it’s just too disjointed to be any fun. Comparison: House on Haunted Hill meets Mausoleum |
