Summary: Remington is a grifter who cons his way into a mother's heart, putting on a fatherly facade to her son, Nicholas. But the second she leaves for work, a torrent of abuse rains upon the gentle boy. Remington heads out for some hookers and invites his dilettante-child molester-drug-dealer buddy over to abuse Nicholas. In the meantime, the only comfort the boy gets is in confiding with his new pet bunny. Debauchery is at hand but Nicholas is nowhere to be found but someone wearing the mask of the beloved holiday hopper shows up ready to deliver a blood-splattered night of unspeakable carnage
Overall: So I ended up watching on pure accident a few films, all by or with Trent Haaga and it turned into a Haaga weekend. This was the 1st film in my viewing trilogy. Frankly unlike the other films, I wasn’t a big fan here although Hagga did his usual exceptional job. This film wasn’t so much disturbing as it was unintentionally boring. I just couldn’t stay interested despite the film trying to do its best. We have a guy beating on a “mentally-challenged” adult boy and folks dying let and right because of a person wearing an Easter Bunny Costume. And normally that all should keep one’s interest for 90 minutes. But it just wasn’t compelling at all. I will say that I did like the twist but I’d be remiss to tell you to skip the first 60 minutes so as to see the reveal alone. I’m just saying…it’s for the most part, not worth your time.
