Summary: A loan officer, Christine, is looking to get a promotion ends up rejecting an extension for an elderly lady. She gets embarrassed in the middle of the busy place and curses Christine. Now, Christine will do anything to undo the very real curse. Problem is…the demons behind the curse aren’t ready to let her off so easily!!!
Overall: Let me use this time to give a shout-out to a certain Professional Football Scout who loves this film. If it weren’t for his undying love and affection for the film, I still probably wouldn’t have seen it. He gets special props for being such a diehard for this film. Alas…I wasn’t as gung-ho. The talking goat bit really turned me off…but I’d already lost interest the more I realized it was the same basic plot as “Thinner.” Someone who has done wrong gets cursed by an elderly gypsy woman…the realize the mistake the made, try and undo it, including using violence, then begin, and by the end, can’t rid themselves of it, including bringing in professional help. Same thing…decade or so apart. Some nice effects though and fascinating ending too…but it’s a lot of the same nonsense from other films. Comparison: Thinner |
