The Devils' Ground (2008)

Summary: While traveling from California to Bangor through a backwoods road in the middle of the night road, Carrie is advised by the gas station attendant to rest for the night since it’s so late the road is so lonely. However, she decides to continue driving through the night and later she almost hits Amy Singer. She gives a lift to Amy who relates to her a story about missing friend, dead coal miners and untold evil!           Overall: I will say that watching this film, I had no expectations and expected it to be boring and useless. But some of the characters were surprisingly interesting, especially “Billy.“ Daryl Hannah seems mis-used here since she’s barely in it and frankly the film’s “reveal” is sorta guessable early on. But the characters in the woods and such kept the film interesting. Worth a shot.           Comparison: Wrong Turn meets Backwoods
