Deep Evil (2004)

Summary: A Governmental experiment has gone very wrong down in a bunker in Alaska and they’ve sent a team of specialists to find out how bad the situation really is. It seems that our bets scientists have been working on some alien water molecules and they’ve gotten out of our control. Question is, can we save our experiment or will we have to annihilate Alaska to prevent it from getting out?

Overall: Expecting this to be the usual silly sci-fi affair, it actually impressed me at times. The effects at times are really cheesy but then other times, very impressive. And they sure tried hard to give us some character exposition and background too. They certainly tried to give us a good product. At times I even felt it was a little scary, nice atmosphere. The film does come off as disjointed though. You get some good scenes, then some not so good scenes…back and forth…kinda like a first-time driver trying a stick shift and not fully understanding the clutch yet. Overall, it’s worth watching. Better than most out there, even though it does have Lorenzo Llamas.
