It is 2 years later and Paul Kersey is back and in Los Angeles, again. While working for his own architectural firm his girlfriend’s daughter, Erica, dies as a result of a drug overdose. Suspicious of the Erica’s boyfriend, Randy, Paul follows him to the local boardwalk where Randy ends up dying in the drug dealer’s hands. Paul chases the dealer down and kills him. But his problems have only begun because by the next morning someone knows who he is: Nathan White. A wealthy entrepreneur is upset at how drugs took his only daughter so he offers a reward to Paul to do what he does best: kill bad guys. It is Paul’s job to attack the 2 main drug syndicates, one headed by Ed Zacharias and the other by the Romero Brothers. And so Paul goes to work, killing off members of each side 1 by 1, until both sides think the other has started a war. But in truth, it is Paul who has been framed because Nathan White isn’t who he says he is, and he’s got ulterior motives, and of course Paul’s girlfriend hostage. Now Paul must fight his way through L.A. Cops, White’s henchmen, and old age to save the woman he loves.
Overall: Not a very good film nor very realistic but keeps one entertained. Also stars Dr. Bruce Hensell who normally is on local Los Angeles tv stations as the resident doctor, as well as X-Files' Mitch Pileggi. It includes the mandatory rape scene (in this film, its the dream sequence at the beginning) and of course, he loses his loved one by the end. Comparison: Colors meets Armed and Dangerous |
