Summary: College student Richard Sachs arranges a webcast originating from a local haunted house. He finds three young couples to spend Halloween night in the abandoned dwelling by offering $5,000 in prize money. The last owner of the house was deranged killer Sean McIntyre, who murdered his entire family 20 years ago. McIntyre was a mountain climber who used his grappling hook to gruesome effect during his murder spree. The evening starts with a séance where the spirit of Sean McIntyre is contacted and brought back from the other side. As the contestants split up and follow clues given them they realize they are being stalked and must find a way to stave of death!
Overall: The film had some nice moments and time and other times felt like the house was way too small to take that much time to kill folks. As I’ve found with other work, Krista Grotte remains the only substantive reason to watch the film. She plays a unique enough character and has some of the most interesting scenes. Otherwise, film doesn’t really do much. Comparison: Halloween 8 meets FearDotCom |
