Summary: Richard comes to do a repair job at the home of aging Albert and Alice and they ask him to stay for dinner. Some days late, Albert discovers a book he lent to Richard in the crawlspace in the cellar. They discover that Richard has quit his job and he has taken refuge in the crawlspace. As weird as that is, they start to welcome him, leaving food and clothing for him. Eventually Richard accepts an invitation to Christmas Dinner and soon becomes a part of the household doing odd jobs and they regard him as the son they never had. But when they send him into town to buy groceries, a dispute ensues between Richard and the store clerk which leads to everything spiraling out of control!!!

Overall: I can’t believe there can even be one positive review on the internet for this film. Sure the acting is ok… It’s a 70’s “Made for TV” films so you know your boundaries for gore, nudity and violence. And you’re expecting certain breaks for commercials. Even with all that said…it’s a bad written film.

Seriously...a kid magically shows up in your cellar crawlspace and you think that’s ok? Fine? Not odd or weird or…criminal? And then for months!!!!!!!!! You leave food and clothing for him. He never talks, never says anything now do u even hear him. But that’s still ok, huh????

Who expects the viewer to buy this? It’s simply an awfully written script with no believability at all. Thee further the film goes on, the more my belief is supposed to be suspended. But it continues to get more unrealistic. When weird and creepy things happen around town and suspicion lands on the creepy crawlspace guy, the 2 elderly people defend him with all their might!!!

I never could buy into their odd logic and their weird assumptions.
