Count Yorga, Vampire (1970)

Summary: 4 friends become involved with Count Yorga at a Los Angeles séance as the Count having been involved with Erica's recently deceased mother. Within a day, Erica is diagnosed by their doctor as having lost a lot of blood. Later she is found feasting on the family cat and the doctor becomes convinced vampirism is at work. Count Yorga is the suspect and everyone will soon figure out how right they are.           Overall: Ever watch a film and realize how easy you could make it into a porn or soft-core porn film? Well here’s a film that was made for porn and later changed into a tame r-rated film instead.           Most reviewers think more highly of the film than I do. They seem to like the “scream” value to it…a film that understands itself and its viewers and tries to be smarter than it should be. But I saw it as being slow and boring and took way too long to get to all the good parts, what few there were.           Comparison: Dracula A.D. 1972 meets Andy Warhol’s Frankenstein
