Consumption (2009)

Summary: After weeks of communication, Claudia and George are ready to get together. They sit for a nice dinner but you can tell something is a bit off. It’s the after dinner action which really makes a life or death difference!           Overall: I really liked the film and immediately began hoping for more, more, more. What works here in this short film is the lack of information. We see everything very vaguely at first and frankly it’s a good thing. Too much info and all the suspense and fun go away. From the title, you can get an idea of what’s gonna happen but hey, I’ve been misled before so I kept my opinions in check. Overall everything is sooo subdued it’s hard to believe once the true action takes place, everyone was so nonchalant. But frankly it all works since this is the culmination to their discussions and debating. It’s a gory film as well and when the end comes, frankly I thought the regret being expressed was good…it was real, hell it added an extra layer to everything.
