Cinderella (2006)

Summary: Yoonhee is a plastic surgeon and single mom of a high school girl, Hyunsu. Hyunsu’s friends all seem to want plastic surgery so they can look prettier and naturally go to her mother. But now, after the surgery her friends are dying off and Hyunsu realizes there are a lot of secrets she doesn’t know about.           Overall: I think what caught my attention was how confusing the film got so that by the end once I realized what the “truth” was , I was just happy for some answers. That being said, the film was awfully confusing for a long time and frankly, I had a hard time buying all these 17 year old girls going for major surgery. Yeah, I don’t live in South Korea so maybe everyone there would find this film true…but I don’t. I think the whole “ghostly” plot that carries on for awhile was more than a little distracting as they switched being giving us the fact that this one girl is dead or is she still alive? Anyway, the film is “ok” but the real mystery is the film’s title…where did that come from?           Comparison: Dr. Giggles meets The Grudge
