- Christine Nguyen has appeared in a few movies, including "The Mummy's Kiss: Second Dynasty". Anyone looking for more info on Christine or her films, can visit her at her IMDB page or her myspace page.
Q: Christine, can you explain how you first got into the movie business?
A: I got into the movie business through modeling. I was booked to play a model in a movie and I enjoyed the entire filmmaking process so much that I decided to branch out and go for more acting jobs.
Q: Would you please explain your acting role in "The Mummy's Kiss: 2nd Dynasty."
A:In "The Mummy's Kiss: 2nd Dynasty", I play reporter Elyse Lam, who is investigating the case of a missing woman who may have been kidnapped by the evil museum director's living Mummy and turned into a zombie-like love slave.
Q: Knowing how movie reviews may skew the perception of one's product, give us in your own words what you want people to know about the film.
A: "The Mummy's Kiss: 2nd Dynasty" is an erotic thriller that is a treat for anyone who is a fan of the mythology of the Egyptians and their beliefs and practices.
Q: If there were one part of the filming that was more difficult than you expected, what would that be? Getting a costume to work? Appearing in a certain scene? Certain lines?
A: The action scenes were much more difficult than I had expected. You have to learn how to take a fall correctly or else you might really get hurt.
Q: Was there any one day, one moment where you just knew the film would work they way you thought it could?
A: I was confident from the very first day on set that the film would come out nicely. Don Glut, the director, was an absolute joy to work with. He knew exactly what he wanted and that always makes our jobs as actors so much easier.
Q: I see that you’ve also appeared in other films. Can you tell me a little about each one and your experience with it? First, " Voodoo Dollz”?
A: I have also done a number of bikini movies ("Bikini Girls from the Lost Planet", "Bikini Royale", "Super Ninja Doll", "Tarzeena", "Girl With the Sex Ray Eyes", and "Voodoo Dollz"). I always have such a great time shooting these movies because they are campy and fun and packed with tongue-in cheek humor.
Voodoo Dollz was especially fun to star in because I got to play a trouble-making catholic schoolgirl who gets herself into serious occult problems after she gets transferred from one school to another.
Q: How about “Tarzeena: Jiggle in the Jungle”?
A: "Tarzeena" was great because I got to work with a huge gorilla.
Q: How about “Bikini Girls from the Lost Planet”?
A:
“Bikini Girls from the Lost Planet” was the second bikini movie that I did. I really enjoyed working on this particular movie because the sets were so sci-fi. The starship was really cool to work in.
Q: And finally, “Ghost in a Teeny Bikini”?
A:
Aside from "Super Ninja Doll", I have to say that my first bikini movie, “Ghost in a Teeny Bikini”, is my favorite. Reminiscent of the rock muscial "Rocky Horror Picture Show", this movie has singing, dancing campy humor and a silly element of spook that made it super fun to shoot and even more fun to watch. It was also my first experience snging on-screen.
Q: What's next for you? If you and I were to talk 1 year from today, what do you think would be on your plate at that time?
A: Lately I have been working a lot in televsion and film. I have two movies coming out in the near future, "The College Years", which is the sequel to "Porky's" and also "Frat House", an "American Pie" type movie. I also did an episode for a show running on SPIKE TV right now called "1000 Ways to Die".
Q: If you and I were to talk 1 year from today, what do you think would be on your plate at that time?
A: Probably the same but just more :)
Q: Is there any movie director or producer you really want to work for one day?
A: I would love to work with John Woo one day. I love action movies and I have always been a big fan of his. I would really like to train and be able to do more action work. I think women who are strong and can deal out a good whippin' are so sexy!
Q: What do you look for when picking movie projects?
A: I pick movies that I know I will enjoy working on and directors that I am comfortable working with.
Q: You’ve appeared in a few films, but have also done some modeling, correct? Can you tell us where else we may have seen you in your various projects?
A: Yes, I started out in modeling. I have been in numerous magazines such as MAXIM, Playboy, DUB, Marie-Claire, JANE, and Skinnie, to name a few. I have also been in numerous calendars and lingerie catalogs and on quite a few posters. Just keep your eyes out for me and you will most likely end up seeing me somewhere ;)
Q: If you could choose only one type of art (modeling, movies, etc) to continue working on, what would you choose?
A: I would choose to work on movies. I love the challenge of taking on a new character.
Q: Anything you wish to add for my readers and visitors? Something special about you that they probably do not know?
A: I would just like to thank everybody out there for their continued support of all my projects. It makes me so happy to hear that people are enjoying my work!
Q: Finally...this is an "Obscure Horror Movie" website. Can you name the last horror movie you watched either at the theatres or on dvd, etc? How about name a favorite horror film that you have seen that most people probably haven't seen?
A: The last horror movie I watched was "House of 1000 Corpses". I am a huge Rob Zombie fan.
Q: Thank you very much for doing this.
