Carrie (1976)

Summary: Carrie White is an outsider in her class. She's a shy, withdrawn girl, all her classmates pick on her, and her mother is a religious fanatic who is constantly punishing her. After she unexpectedly has her first menstruation, she is teased by her classmates even more. So, the gym teacher punishes the girls that were involved, although one of them, Sue, feels sorry for what she did and asks her boyfriend to take Carrie to the prom instead of her. But another girl that has been banned from the prom and isn't so forgiving and they’re gonna embarrass her big-time…once and for all.           Overall: This is a great film that is concise, cohesive and builds up just enough to keep you motivated. The ending is great because it’s not contrived. It’s an appropriate ending given what we’ve just witnessed. Awesome film, go watch! And enjoy the performances!           Comparison: Firstarter meets American Pie
