Carnosaur 4: Raptor (2001)

A sheriff of a small town is trying to investigate the mysterious deaths of the townspeople and soon figures it must be an animal of some sort. But the evil doctor in the big research lab nearby knows the real truth and may have to send his own creations to finish off the town to preserve the strive for science!
Overall: I was at the video store and had a few choices to pick from. This film, "Reptilian," "Silent Predators" (with Harry Hamlin) and "Venomous" (with Treat Williams). This film offered 2 stars (Corbin Bersen & Eric Roberts) plus “lesbian plaything” Lorrissa McComas (Bare Wench Project). I chose this film - bad call on my part. I’m watching it knowing it will be similar to the Carnosaur series but I’m gonna give it a chance. So, watching it, I see a scene where the raptor is placed on a truck with chickens, then kills the chickens and the driver. I’m now thinking, rip-off. By the end of the movie, I know the truth, it’s not a rip-off, they actually took scenes out of all 3 Carnosaur films and used them as footage in this one. Ugh! The movie reminds me of “Silent Night Deadly Night 2” -- but at least that film let u know they were copying to set up the boy’s past. This film plays them off as its own. How broke must Bersen & Roberts be? And for the Nepotism, we have along with Lorissa, Lenny Juliano from “Bare Wench” and Director Jim Wynorski. He also did a Roger Corman film “Wasp Women” which featured 3 of these actors -- this film is produced by Corman (who also produced the 3 “Carnosaur” films). Small world, eh? So what did he hope to accomplish by this movie? 11/27/05: Reviewing some old pages...I noted that I watched this film in July 2002...and within 2 years still caught "Reptilian" and "Silent Predators."
