Campfire Tales (1997)

4 teens end up stranded out in the middle of nowhere and decide to tell each other scary stories to pass the night on. Cliff is the reckless driver trying to always put the moves on his girlfriend, Lauren (played by Christine Taylor of "Night of the Demons 2" and "The Brady Bunch") while her little brother, Eric and her roommate Alex, look on. Cliff though isn't paying too much attention and crashes their car. While awaiting help, they make a campfire and Cliff starts with some scary stories.
1) Honeymoon - The first story is of Ric and Valerie, newlyweds who encounter a scary crow which hopes to eat them alive. 2) People Can Lick Too - A 12 year-old girl, Amanda, who befriends a pedophile on the internet and he's gonna make the night before her birthday one she'll never forget. 3)The Locket - A biker whose ride has broken down. He catches some board in a nearby house where a beautiful woman lives. But she's a bit mute and daddy is very mean. But when he comes home the biker could meet his end. Overall: What ever did happen to the four storytellers anyway? The ending is similar to the original "Tales From the Crypt" and also "Tales From the Hood." Very little redeeming quality to the film except to see Christine Taylor once again. The idea of young adults telling scary stories is as old as time itself and definitely a bit boring by now.
