Bride of the Monster (1955)

Summary: Police, along with trouble-making journalist Janet Lawton and a world famous monster specialist all join to search the swamps around Lake Marsh after dead bodies start to be found. In the swamps Janet is captured by Dr. Vornoff, an exiled scientist who is trying to create “super-men” by way of radiation!           Overall: I went in to this film having no idea what to expect and as such, finding the movie quite awful. By the time I was done and realize, that Ed Wood has directed it, I was like “Oh, I got it now.” It’s still a bad film but much better than many of his others. The octopus is fake and they’re wrestling with an inanimate object! The acting is bad, Lugosi’s age is totally showing and frankly, it’s a bad film. But hey, It’s Ed Wood so don’t expect much.           Comparison: Glen or Glenda meets Them!
