- Brenna Roth has appeared in many movies, including a role in "VooDoo Rising". Anyone looking for more info on Brenna or her films, can visit her at her IMDB page.
Hi Brenna, glad to have you back again! Without giving too much away for later questions, what have you been up to since we last talked (September 2010)?
Ms. Roth, can you explain how you first got into the movie business?
A: Wow, a lot! I am not permanently living in Ohio, love it here! Got rid of the boyfriend (well, he got rid of me) and now it’s sweet because I can pretty much do whatever I want whenever I want to. I have a lot of great friends here that I’ve known since I was like 4 years old. Lets see movie stuff though- LOL! Not too much. Reading over some offers and looking into producing a few documentaries on my own.

Q: Tell me a little bit about some of your new projects. First, “Voodoo Rising.” How did you get involved and what’s it about?
A: Voodoo was filming in Cleveland by my great friend Eddie Lingyl. He is a great director and knows how to get people to work hard. I think we shot that for about 25K and it looks amazing. If you haven’t seen the video yet: Chainsaw practice we had a LOT of fun and it’s been a long time coming. It’s been on the editing floor for about 3 years! I’ll have a chance to go see it next month with some cast friends in Cleveland.
Q: Knowing how movie reviews may skew the perception of one's product, give us in your own words what you want people to know about the film.
A: It was shot for 25K! You DO NOT need millions of dollars to make a movie. Nuff said.
Q: We briefly discussed your film, “Fist of the Vampire” last time. But tell me a little bit more. How did you get the role? What was it like? And tell me a little bit about your costars, including Darian Caine & Cheyenne King and your experience with everyone.
A:
Darian Caine is sexy! Can I please get an amen for that! lol. She is super nice and I think a lot of people (boys) just look at girls like us and think they can’t come up and talk to us, that’s untrue! (sorry D if boys start bugging you it’s my fault, lol!) I didn’t get to work much with Ms. King but I know she rocked out her role in this movie. I believe you can buy it at Wal-Mart now. The director, Len, is one of the BEST directors I’ve ever worked with. (That’s right Terrance Malick, eat it!)
Q: Tell about your new film in theatres: "Love and other Drugs?"
A: Ohh...tricky one. Sometimes I get called in to do a film in the mid-west just because I am union (SAG) but they only use me for 1 or 2 scenes. It’s ok, sometimes it’s just about the pay check. Well, and I got to see Jake Gillinhall with his shirt off. I play Anne Hathaway’s friend in this movie. (in 2 scenes)
Q: One of my interviews with Monique Dupree, she mentioned collaborating with you on a workout video called "Warrior Workout". How’s that progressing?
A: I just gotta say, Momo is an amazing person. There are far too meny people in Hollywood who have big egos and are demanding and just treat people like garbage. Momo is NOT one of those people. Pretty much wherever I am in the world if I need someone to talk to she is always there for me. Now that I want to make my own project “Warrior’s Workout” I needed her to star in it. I think I’ve known her since about 2005 when we were both doing a lot with Troma. Love her, buy her stuff, xoxo MOMO!
Another amazing actress/friend is Scarlett Salem. She is super nice, and so professional. Seriously Scar, luv u! She made it bearable to be on set of Killer Biker Chicks even though she blared her metal music in the mornings she is still amazing. Elska was pretty much the only other actress on set, all the other girls were rude strippers that I pray to God I will never see again in my life. I feel like I know what true evil is now that I’ve met them. :-) (print all this!)
Q: Finally, are there any films you appeared in that I’ve missed asking about?
A: “Heavy Mental” got picked up by TROMA!!!!! Go buy it www.troma.com
Q: Can you tell me what you have planned for 2011?
A: 1 Studio film and maybe doing some horror films if they are in Ohio. (so 3 or 4 lined up already, including Voodoo Rising 2) For the most part I just feel like I am too old to be prancing around the world doing b-movies now. I’m almost 28! I want to stay in Ohio and ride my dirt-bike and just be normal. Something people would be surprised to know is that I am pretty strong in my faith and that is something I feel like I didn’t concentrate on enough living in LA. For 2011 I just want to relax and get back on the right track of where I should be.
Q: Anything new you care to share with your fans? Something special about you that they probably do not know? Maybe a hobby that folks aren’t aware of? Favorite “guilty pleasure” tv show you watch?
A: Hobbies, YES! I have plenty. 1. Thrifting 2. Flea Market (selling/buying) 3. Refinishing old wood stuff 4. Painting junk so it looks mod-art 5. Finding a husband (HAHA!) 6. Playing dress up 7. Drinking coffee 8. Dirt-Bike 9. 4 Wheeler! 10. Nature Hikes 11. Surfing 12. Camping (tent)
I don’t know, I could go on and on i suppose. I’ll leave it at that. :-)
Q: Finally...can you name a horror movie you’ve been dying to watch but just haven’t had the opportunity to see yet?
A: Funny you ask that. Last “horror” movie I watched was SAW 2, in theatres and I hated it. I cried. I’m so scared of scary movies. I don’t know why anyone would ever want to watch them. If i’m not seeing it be made, then I don’t want to ever see it. I think one of my requirements to hang out with me is that you have to like cinema but not horror. Maybe Italian Horror, but that’s it!
Q: Thank you very much for doing this.
A: Anything you OH.com thanks again.
xoxo
BLR!
