Summary: Marti Malone accompanies her stepmother and stepbrother as they tag along with her father who is a safety inspector of US military bases. However not everything is as it seems at this base. People start to change and after she meets a cute helicopter pilot, she starts to realize that personnel on the base and members of her family are being replaced by emotionless alien duplicates. And she’s the only one left to stop them.
Overall: The film is better than you think it will be. That’s basically how I want to start off. The cast isn’t very impressive and frankly, compared to the other 2 films, this story isn’t as good or as compelling. I like to think of this film as the “graphic, cut-to-the-chase version.” Bottom line, we get to see in this film, everything the first 2 films didn’t show…the graphic, gory parts. It does have some super-creepy moments and some nice scares for sure. Best being when the wife comes clean to her husband that she’s an alien and kills all hope he’s going to survive. So with all that, it’s a good film. It ranks as 3rd in the trilogy of films but still is pretty good compared to other films. Comparison: Invasion of the Body Snatchers meets Scent of a Woman |
