Blood Salvage (1990)

Summary: In the backwoods, we meet a redneck named Jake who kidnaps random people off the nearby highway and performs medical experiments on them. He then proceeds to sell their body parts on the black market. However, April may be their last victim!           Overall: I thought overall the film was sorta silly but amusing. The fact is, I became quite fascinated at figuring out what it was about this family, that our rednecks wanted with this family. Why were they interested, why them…what was the connection. So the film kept me interested. The cast I felt was a tremendous find for a low budget film as well..including a very young and fit Evander Holyfield. The film was released in September of 1990 and Evander won his first Heavyweight title in October 1990, versus Buster Douglas. I was constantly wondering what was up with April’s shirt…thing sure had problems staying on. But a really nice cast and an interesting storyline!           Comparison: Organ meets Wilderness
