Summary: Phyllis is just trying to get through high school alive but a few of the snotty girls in school won’t let her. They’re determined to embarrass her and using the Slough Queen Beauty Pageant as the instrument of this, they set out to totally humiliate her. However when things go wrong, Phyllis might be willing to fight back.
Overall: The entire film you just know that this is a copy of sorts of “Carrie.” It feels and sounds and performs like that film. Problem is…this movie is slow, plodding, slow, more plodding and finally drags itself to the conclusion. It’s a really long film that needed to be 30 minutes shorter. The one thing that kept me watching is seeing if I could figure out how Tammy Pascatelli went form this cheesy c-movie indie actress to a “Last Comic Standing” finalist. Never would have guessed it from this film. Even the voice isn’t as annoying here either. The biggest problem though with the film were the sets. Now, I know it’s a low-budget b-movie. That’s fine and many films can’t afford much in terms of design and whatever. However…when we see Phyllis kill people and her house and other victims houses look identical even to the paintings on the wall(!!!!!), well at least u could have changed things up. I have no problem if you have to shoot in the same room for different scenes but at least change the room up a little bit!!! Come on. That’s like basic, right? Comparison: Carrie meets Prom Night |
