Overall: Maybe I’ve become immune to Sci-Fi “Original” pictures, but I wasn’t as enamored as others were by this film. All admit the movies normally suck but all have great things to say about this movie. Maybe the fact that the CGI isn’t “obviously” bad or the plot isn’t “obviously” flawed to them, means it’s a good film. I think it just means the film isn’t “obviously” a bad film. It’s just ok. It comes off way too “smart-alecky” and not serious enough for me to buy into it. It’s an amusing film, I guess...but if anything the film can portray itself as “the best of the worst.” Comparison: The Snake King meets Party of Five |
