Bad Blood/Coisa Ruim (2006)

Summary: Xavier has inherited a house in the countryside that no one else seemed to want. He moves his family there but no one is convinced this is the right move. Soon they all begin to hear voices, noises and see things. The house has a bad history and they're all about to find out how bad it is.

Overall: The film had a lot of good going for it but by the time the credits rolled, nothing much happened. They dangled a red herring about the girl's baby's father but never finished the thought. There were hintings of an exorcism that never gets performed. There are ideas of ghosts and bumps in the night but instead jump straight into possession, with a person who never was actually affiliated with the house…only a neighbor. And finally when we do get a death at the end, it's so anti-climactic and frankly, if you had to guess who was gonna die, you weren't gonna pick this character, and definitely not the way it went down. And yet after they died, the film basically ends, the possession is over quite innocently, and you're sitting there, going "huh?" Just was not a satisfying film.
