Q: Anne, can you explain how you first got into the movie business?

A: I have always wanted to be an actress but my family didn’t support it so it took me a while to get into the business. In 2007, there was a post on Myspace looking for actors to play mental patients in “Methodic”. That was my first role in a feature film. I really liked it so continued doing films, mainly horror such as “The Ritual”, and two films by Robert Gifford “The Wishing Box” and most recently “No Strings 2: (Playtime in Hell)”

Q: Would you please explain your acting role in "No Strings 2: Playtime in Hell"?

A: I played one of the lead actresses, Diana Anderson, a bitchy, stressed out home owner. She has three female roommates that just don’t want to follow her strict house rules. Diana is a prudish professional and her roommates are, well, let’s just say have interesting professions. Julie Anne plays one of my roommates. She played a tough rebellious girl and my good Italian friend Damien Colletti plays her boyfriend. They are both so awesome to work with. I have worked with Damien several times in the past and recommended him to Rob Gifford so it was awesome working with him in “No Strings 2”.

Q: Knowing how movie reviews may skew the perception of one's product, give us in your own words what you want people to know about the film.

A: Without giving anything away, there is an evil demonic clown doll that somehow finds its way into Diana’s home. It really is going to be an amazing movie that horror fans do not want to miss!

Q: If there were one part of the filming that was more difficult than you expected, what would that be? Getting a costume to work? Appearing in a certain scene? Certain lines?

A: We were on a very tight schedule to film the majority of the movie in just a weekend. Most of us had very little sleep but had to continue filming to get everything done. I also had a very long monologue in one of the scenes, and had just had a cup of Rob Gifford’s extra strength coffee which really geared me up for the scene. I think it actually helped me look more stressed during my scene. So the difficulty was getting through the long monologue with very little sleep while bouncing off the walls from the coffee. Haha

The movie was also filmed in my home, so it was a challenge for Rob to make sure the blood didn’t get on my carpeting and walls. He did a great job doing that too!

Q: Was there any one day, one moment where you just knew the film would work the way you thought it could?

A: I had a lot of confidence in the film right from the very beginning when I first read the script. Robert Gifford is a fantastic writer/director and I knew he would make things work no matter what obstacles he was up against.

Q: Looking back, I know that you’ve also appeared in other films. Can you tell me a little about them and your experience with it? First, “Bloodbath in the House of Knives”?

A: I was the lead actress in “Bloodbath in the House of Knives”. I played Ivy, a girl that seems quite innocent, but has a shady past and has an unknown stalker. It was written and directed by Ted Moehring /Swamp Picnic Productions. I had the opportunity to work alongside of Lloyd Kaufman, President of Troma Studios, which was great! He was so fun to work with. After we filmed our scene, I even went to his book signing as a Tromette for “Direct Your Own Damn Movie!” It was a lot of fun! The film will be available on DVD soon!

2) How about “Methodic”?

A: “Methodic” directed by Chris Notarile was my first role in a feature film. I had a few lines in it so it was cool my first role in a feature film was not just a background extra. Chris and all the actors on set were so nice to work with too. The scenes that I was in were filmed in Overbrook/Essex County Hospital. That place was scary! I think it was really haunted!

3) How about “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”?

A: I was a background extra as a college student. I think it is really cool that they cast me as a college student, considering I am a bit older than that…hmmm…. It was long hours for two days, but it was a great experience.

4) And finally “The Ritual”?

A: Oh “The Ritual” was a blast to film. My character’s name is Kaylah and it turned out to be a bigger part than intended. It was all improvising and there is a twist. You will have to see it when it is released on DVD. Anthony Spadaccini was the director and I absolutely love working with him. He then did a prequel to the film called “Post-Mortem” and I am in that as well. That was also improv for me and that part was so much fun. I hope to work with Anthony more in the near future.

Q: What's next for you? What else does 2010 hold for you?

A: There are a few things that I may be doing, but nothing is confirmed yet.

Q: Is there any movie director or producer you really want to work for one day? Or perhaps any actors or actresses you’d like to star with in a film?

A: Ohhh…. Would LOVE to work with Rob Zombie, Wes Craven and John Carpenter! Is that asking too much? lol

Q: What do you look for when picking projects?

A: I look for a good interesting script. I also look at the director’s previous work and quality. I prefer to work with a director that has experience and has something to show for it. I also like challenging roles. I love playing a part of someone completely different than who I am.

Q: Finally...this is an "Obscure Horror Movie" website. Can you name the last horror movie you watched either at the theatres or on dvd, etc? How about name a favorite horror film that you have seen that most people probably haven't seen?

A: I just watched “The Others” with Nicole Kidman. It’s not really horror, more a supernatural thriller, but it was scary and had an interesting twist. But for obscure, the movie “Unrest” was good! They actually used real corpses in that. I also liked “The Ruins”. A lot of people never heard of those two films.

Q: Thank you very much for doing this.

A: No, Thank you! It is my pleasure!
