Q: Mrs. Leigh, can you explain how you first got into the movie business?

A: I had done commercials for a while, and I sat around on few sets of films being made before. I had enjoyed it immensely. I began doing clips for a producer and acting in small mini films and vids. I realized I had talent in the area, then began casting for Indie films here and there. For a few months, I began doing a bunch of films suddenly and getting more and more roles. I really enjoy this line of work!

Q: Would you please explain your acting role in "Killing Fields" (now: “The Great American Serial Killer”)?

A:I really enjoyed working on this film, which is newly titled “The Great American Serial Killer”, and cant wait to see its final product! It is loosely based off of the crimes of a real life serial killer. I always had an interest in the criminal mind, and was even going to attend college for criminal psychology but it got cut off as my modeling career began to take off and never ended up doing it. I did my research on this man before filming, and was horrified at the interview i found online with him as he talks about torturing, beheading and raping his victims for years. I play Rachel Summers, a 28 yr old school teacher who is the victim whom leads the murderer to being caught. I am abducted in broad daylight with my boyfriend, tortured and raped for days, and well...lets just say some of the content is "hard to digest"! For the meaning behind this...well. watch the movie ;).

Q: Knowing how movie reviews may skew the perception of one's product, give us in your own words what you want people to know about the film.

A: Well, what I would like to say first off, some seem to be very biased and I see so many that come from people who are not well educated in Indie film work. For example, I do not know what a 19 year old kid can give the industry by reviewing movies and saying “wow it all sucked ass....don't see it”. Pick out reviewers online very carefully if your going to heed what they say.

But when I find a reviewer that I have liked in the past and have agreed with for the most part....and they know the industry well enough to base their opinions on everything they should be looking at...i will look at the reviews before watching. However, that does not mean if they have a not so good review that I wont watch it at some point.

For this movie, I think it will be very well put together, and if you are a fan of gore, you will like this one. I think before people watch certain movies I have been in, they have to realize that there may be a certain amount of graphic scenes and nudity. If these aren't your bag of tea, then why bother watching something like this and then review it harshly for being so graphic? So I think before watching many Indie works, especially in the horror or gore areas, looking up how much nudity , violence and gore would be advised before getting a surprise your not OK with.

Q: If there were one part of the filming that was more difficult than you expected, what would that be? Getting a costume to work? Appearing in a certain scene? Certain lines?

A: I don't believe I had any parts there were actually difficult at all. There is a rape scene in this movie, some may find disturbing. It actually did not bother me at all. The one part that was difficult was filming my part in an area where children were roaming free outside. Now, the producer had rented a place to film and told the owners what we were filming and they had said it was ok with them. It was made clear that there was going to be some very adult stuff being filmed, and if there were kids around it wouldn't work. The owners again said no worries, no kids would be there. WELL....what happened was the exact opposite! There were boy scouts running wild in the area we were filming in. It was disappointing to have to wait for these people to get through our filming area so they wouldn't be in the background of the scenes. Even more so, a bloody girl running around screaming with a killer after her was hard to shoot while little boys were watching. So finally we decided screw them, we were there to make a movie and that is what were are going to do...no matter how many little boys receive PTSD from it!

Q: I see that you’ve also appeared in other films. Can you tell me a little about each one and your experience with it? First, “Cleric.”

A: My roles in "Cleric" , produced by Red Scream Films, were both quite brief. I was actually dually casted, first as one of the Cleaners... someone who fights army style (i am of course...the short Cleaner! ha! i was the only female cleaner...so i very much so stand out in the bunch). Being a cleaner i thought would be easy, but it was actually difficult, as i had to wear an outfit that was quite heavy and long for me, AND carry the biggest gun in the bunch, which was pretty heavy for my small frame! But after getting into the role and adapting to the surroundings (and looking through VERY DARK goggles) it became much easier. In the second role I was a Howler, ( a pretty scantily clad one under that large coat too). I needed to fight the main character to lower her energy levels, so that when she finally fights her ultimate fight she is weakened.

Q: How about “House Of Horrors: The Movie”?

A: "House Of Horrors: The Movie", produced by Dan Monroe, was quite easy and enjoyable to film! I make an appearance as myself in this movie, and as a lead dancer of a strip club! I did a guest appearance as myself in the movie, and my role was lead dancer (strip club...not ballet!)

When the CD comes Bonus footage of me can be found on a music video.

Q: How about "Born to Die”?

A: I play Amanda in this film, produced by Jay Mager. Amanda and her husband are not the most “classy” of people....and her husband is pretty much a really BAD GUY. Not someone you want in your life! Amanda does something naughty, and well, the outcome of her actions are quite brutal.

This film is basically about a very very bad guy who comes from the bad side of the tracks and leads a less then normal life style. It is a bit of gore meets crime drama.

Q: And finally, “Rotkappchen: The Blood of Red Riding Hood”

A: Rotkappchen: The Blood of Red Riding Hood is director Harry Sparks’ epic, modern retelling of a classic fairy tale that has inspired many interpretations before-but never one quite like this.

It takes place in a small town in America, where a young German girl has come to live with her grandmother. This once quiet town finds itself rattled by a series of gruesome, mysterious murders…

I play a reporter through out the movie, but I am not excluded from possibly being on the victim list of the brutal killer!

Q: What's next for you? What else does 2009 hold for you?

A: I will be doing a small role in “Slime City Massacre” which is a sequel to the 80's cult classic “Slime City”.

Late in the summer I will be working on the lead role in "The Cabin"....produced and written by Red Scream Films. We are filming this in August, and i seriously can NOT wait to get a start on this! "The Cabin" is a bit of horror, thriller, psycho, all wrapped into one delicious package! I play the role of a women who's career in the entertainment industry has been suffering. She receives work that could spring her career back into life, but at the same time she receives news that could stop this from happening. As she makes decisions on what to do, she is forced to deal with extreme guilt that comes out in the form of insanity. And a stay at a Cabin that is evil in itself does not help matters much!

Q: If you and I were to talk 1 year from today, what do you think would be on your plate at that time?

A: Wow wow! I have no idea! That is what I love about my career, it takes so many twists and turns. I am sure I will be doing much more in film, at least I hope. I am looking at relocating soon from NY to the south next year, so whatever I may doing, I will be doing it in a much sunnier area! Ha! I am thinking of retiring from Modeling late in this year....but who knows? I am pretty much happy with taking things as they come and go.

Q: Is there any movie director or producer you really want to work for one day?

A: Quentin Tarantino!!! He is just so OUT THERE I love it!

Q: Are there certain types of films you enjoy doing? What do you look for when picking projects?

A: I really enjoy doing horror and crime projects. They have always been my favorite. But I would really love to also start exploring some more areas.....i would love to try out comedy at some point.

Q: You’ve appeared in a few films, but have been involved in some stage plays, and music, correct? Can you tell us where we may have seen you in those various projects?

A: Yes I have been a model of about 10 years now. I had taken somewhat of a break when I was college and as soon as I graduated I go back into it full time.

I have done calenders, websites, and I have spent the majority of my career in the nude art and pin up areas. I have some nice layouts on DOMAI and four different editorials in Playboy...two for Busty Babes and two for All Naturals. This is the area of modeling I love doing, the nude work!

I am very free with my body and view the human form as art work. I think there is no harm in that at all.... and I hope to continue doing this for another year before delving totally into film work 100%.

Q: If you could choose only one type of art (tv, movies, modeling, etc) to continue working on, what would you choose?

A: It would be film work all the way! I have many years as a model under my belt, and though i have loved every minute of that career, there is a part when...well...there just isn't much more you can do to excel in the field. I think after i did PLAYBOY, there really wasn't many goals i had left to be published with. I realized the career can only last so long for anyone....so i really looked hard at what the next thing for me to do was. And after exploring film work, I knew I liked it more so than anything else I have done. (It is so much more rewarding than having a career by just looking good!) This takes time, patients, hard work determination and practice....so what you get out of it in the end is so much more rewarding!

Q: Anything you wish to add for my readers and visitors? Something special about you that they probably do not know?

A: Sure they can stop by my pages on facebook and myspace or my website to watch for updates on all the new things happening!

Q: Finally...this is an "Obscure Horror Movie" website. Can you name the last horror movie you watched either at the theatres or on dvd, etc? How about name a favorite horror film that you have seen that most people probably haven't seen?

A: I just got done watching the French film "Martyrs" and i am STILL so unsettled by it! But in a good way! This movie was probably the best thing i have watched in a long time! It is on DVD, and good thing because i had to keep pausing it to gather my thoughts. It had a lot of gruesome footage in it, but not just gore that is added to a film to make it gross...this was way different. EVERY gory detail was there for a reason. It plays out like a book...and each chapter just builds up to the next...and then as you get to the ending you start unraveling in your mind what is going on. And as soon as you think you get, you find more info that leads to something totally different....until you reach the final end...which is nothing short of amazing. Put together so smoothly, it makes you feel you are THERE, taking part...in what is going on with the character...not just witnessing it. As it wraps up, i found myself having to stop the movie, either because i was nauseated or too emotional! This is for sure something for people that can handle the most disturbing of footage, PLUS a heavy plot. The end left me.... speechless. I honestly think about this film at least once day since i have watched it!

Q: Thank you very much for doing this.

A: Thank you!!!! You guys are great!
