- Amy Weber has appeared in a few movies, including "The Pumpkin Karver". Anyone looking for more info on Amy or her films, can visit her at her IMDB page or her website.

Q: Amy, can you explain how you first got into the movie business?

A: I moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and I just slowly started working on commercials and TV shows and worked my way into features.

Q: Would you please explain your acting role in "The Pumpkin Karver."

A:I play Lynn in the movie. I would like to say that I am a backbone for my brother Jonathan, but it is my boyfriend that gets all the drama started. It was a great role to play.

Q: Knowing how movie reviews may skew the perception of one's product, give us in your own words what you want people to know about the film.

A: I love Pumpkin Karver because unlike most scary movies, it doesn’t hand you the plot on a platter.. it gives the audience’s imagination a try at figuring out what is going on. There are many interesting twists and turns.

Q: If there were one part of the filming that was more difficult than you expected, what would that be? Getting a costume to work? Appearing in a certain scene? Certain lines?

A: I think the most difficult part of filming the movie was the weather. We shot out near the desert in the dead of winter and we weren’t wearing coats or jackets of any kind, so that was brutal. Some nights, the winds would get going to almost 30 mph and it just cuts you to the bone!

Q: Was there any one day, one moment where you just knew the film would work they way you thought it could?

A: I don’t think that you are ever sure of how something will come out until you start to see the rough edit come together. When I am scared for myself onscreen, then I know that we did something right.

Q: I see that you’ve also appeared in other films. Can you tell me a little about each one and your experience with it? First, "Kolobos"?

A: Kolobos was shot in this spooky house that had an attic and floor heaters. There wasn’t much acting necessary on my part because that house scared the crap out of me! We had two directors, so that was an interesting experience for me.

Q: How about “The Contract”?

A: The Contract was great. I go to work with some great actors and the set was also easy going.

Q: What's next for you? If you and I were to talk 1 year from today, what do you think would be on your plate at that time?

A: I just finished a mockumentary style film that is making the Film Festival rounds called “Becoming Pony Boi.” I also did two voices in a 3D animated show called “Freaky Flickers” so we are waiting to hear if it will become a feature or stay a tv series. I also just finished recording my 3rd single off of my first CD that I hope to have up on Itunes in the next month or so and I also have a Wrestling match against my arch nemesis Joy Giovanni coming out. There is more information on www.AmyvsJoy.com. My website and blog are also huge passions of mine. www.amyweber.net and blog.amyweber.net.

Q: If you and I were to talk 1 year from today, what do you think would be on your plate at that time?

A: There is no telling with me. I plan to find a publisher for my first book “An Insider’s Guide to Making it in Show Business” so hope to be promoting that and I love Producing so I would assume that I would be knee deep in producing and/or acting in something. I have been given a few projects to look at so we shall see and I am also in talks with a comic book company to possibly do a comic character in my likeness.

Q: Is there any movie director or producer you really want to work for one day?

A: There are so many.. Clint Eastwood, Steven Spielberg.. the list is so vast.

Q: Are there certain films you enjoy doing? You’ve appeared in some films with some horror elements in them, but the rest tend to be diverse and just look like you’re out to have some fun. What do you look for when picking films?

A: I like to see if I can be challenged in some way whether it be a drama or comedy or horror movie.

Q: You’ve appeared in a few films, but have also done some modeling, televisions shows and commercials? Can you tell us where we may have seen you in these various projects?

A: I forget! I have worked for some great companies including Miller Beer, Icehouse, Budweiser, Modelo, Wrigley’s, Nestea, Chrysler, Maxim, FHM, Shape magazine, OYE magazine, 7-UP, Champion, Women’s Health and Fitness, Revolution Eyewear, and many, many others. I have been truly lucky throughout the years.

Q: If you could choose only one type of art (modeling, television shows, movies) to continue working on, what would you choose?

          A: Movies without a doubt.

Q: Finally...this is an "Obscure Horror Movie" website. Can you name the last horror movie you watched either at the theatres or on dvd, etc? How about name a favorite horror film that you have seen that most people probably haven't seen?

A: The last horror movie that I saw was “Walled In”.. one of my favorite Horror movies of all time is “Amityville Horror.” That movie still scares the crap out of me!

Q: Thank you very much for doing this.
