Summary: When most of the population of Earth is infected with a virus and transformed into flesh eating creatures, a group of hunters led by Tao looks to find the vampirish zombies and eliminate them. Six survivors try to find the exit of an abandoned hospital chased by infected creatures while Tao and his group help them.

Overall: Would it have mattered if I simply had the summary say: “Steven Seagal meets Vampires”? Yeah, that makes the plot a little different huh? Now you have folks either staying away or drifting towards it because of Seagal’s name alone. Frankly, When I read the plot and saw the character list, I was like “Ok, I gotta see this…is this how far he has fallen?”

I thought the film’s biggest problem was that there appeared to be no sense of urgency in the survivors to get out of the building. They’re walking slowly…not “carefully” just “slowly.” They seemed not to care how big the building was or how long its taking to get out.

I will say though it was nice to see how the folks reacted when one of their cohorts got bit… Normally your vampire/zombie films, they coddle and care for the injured victim, hoping they won’t “turn” and struggling with what to do next. This film, they kill the victims immediately and don’t think twice. That at least shows us some smarter folks.

Comparison: Above the Law meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer
